Vaiva Radasta Vebra died last night. I loved my mother very much. It seems sometimes, though, that my wife Renata loved her even more as mother-in-law. And as grandmother, our daughter's love for her knew no bounds.

I got to meet Vaiva only twice. Once when she graciously agreed to bring a package from Lithuania from my mom. She went out of her way for a complete stranger. Second time during Adamkus visit in Chicago during last song festival. Strong and caring person. Thank you for touching so many lives through your work, life and being.
