A note from Mark Hurwich

Actually, until very recently Vaiva was rarely present for my birthdays, the quirks of the calendar had her in Lithuania for July. On the other hand, she was generally here for her own birthdays, and they sometimes coincided with the trips we took together after her a.p.p.l.e. summer work was complete.

So her birthday will be harder than mine this year.
