I don't know what kind of vine this is, and I'm concerned that it might damage the siding. But Vaiva stopped me from cutting it back, because she believe that the blossoms, which began to appear a couple weeks ago, attract hummingbirds. Although I have seen hummingbirds in years past, I haven't seen any this year.
