Putnam graves

Gravestones exhibit an uncommon diversity of styles and messages in Putnam. The graves are well tended, many with living flowers. The mood is very like the cemeteries in Lithuania.

  1. The big difference is that graves in Lithuania have bordered edges; like all the fenced in yards here, people demand to have their territory clearly established. Therefore, there is little grass, and each grave needs to be tended to individually.
