2005.03.31

The photos below were, I believe, taken at Arlington National Cemetery. Vaiva is on the left, Dainus Numgaudas is on the right, I think. They are visiting a memorial to an American, Samuel Harris, who, after his service to the U.S. in World War I, was part of a contingent that traveled to Lithuania to help in the fight for independence from the Russians. There he was killed. The operation was financed by the Lithuanian-American Community, and they arranged for this memorial. More details, and a photo of his grave, are here.
